Local Adelaide Nutritionist
When you come for a Nutrition consult at Body Institute, our degree qualified Clinical Nutritionist will support you in making consistent changes in order to take control of your health.
We treat you and your body as an entire person, mental, emotional and physical, not just the narrowest physically defined medical problem.
Our Clinical Nutritionst loves working with clients who are struggling with perimenopause and menopause and the symptomes associated with these hormonal changes.
Kylie is also passionate about thyroid function and correct testing to ensure an accurate treatment plan. Your initial consult is all about you.
It’s time to talk, it’s time for you to really explain what you’ve been experiencing and tell us, how we can help you. We will guide you through this with a series of questions about your health history, your current symptoms, your lifestyle and your diet.
By the end of this appointment you’ll be feeling empowered and ready to start taking simple steps towards change. Follow up consults are necessary even if you are feeling better after the first consult. This is because treatment is a process.
We believe in making small, consistent changes to your diet and lifestyle as you work towards better health. Health is about lifelong changes, practice and progression – not perfection and not quick fixes.
While symptomatically you may be feeling relieved, one consult is not enough time to treat the cause. These follow up consults are about healing and activating the multiple areas of your body that may be under stress or working ineffectively these are also about supporting you in changing your diet and lifestyle habits bit by bit.
So what do these treatments involve?
This obviously varies from person to person. However our nutritionist will use a combination of dietary changes, lifestyle changes and nutritional supplements as needed to achieve optimal results.
Nutrition
At the Body Institute we don’t believe in giving you a list of what not to do and sending you on your way. Holistic nutrition is where we are at and it’s all about looking into your current diet and lifestyle and finding ways to constantly improve upon it. You’ll be armed with recipes, meal plans, and information on how to read labels and what to look out for.
Changing your diet isn’t always about weight loss; at the Body Institute we believe that food can either be the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison. With that in mind our Clinical Nutritionist can help you to plan healthy meals, adapt recipes to suit your needs and ensure you have all the skills to change your life.
Occasionally supplements are necessary. In many cases supplementation is short term while we make dietary and lifestyle changes. However some people will require long term supplementation in order to achieve and maintain optimal health.
